- Hash Rate (15 GH/s is astronomically high!)
- Power consumption
- Doesn’t include PSU
Our rating: 4/5
NOTE: Cryptocurrency mining is less profitable now due to the crypto market downturn. If you’re just interested in acquiring cryptocurrency, it may be best to simply buy it from an exchange like Binance.
Dash Mining in 2019
Dash is becoming ever more popular in 2019, and so are X11 Dash miners.
Unfortunately, Dash mining isn’t profitable at the moment due to the crypto market plunge. It would be wiser to buy cryptocurrency such as Dash from an exchange, rather than mining it (at least, if you’re trying to turn a profit.)
Nevertheless, mining is still a fun hobby – with that being said, today we’re taking a look at the newest X11 Dash miner, the Antminer D3.
The Best Dash Miner on the Market
The Antminer D3 boasts incredible hashing power and relatively low power consumption.
|PIC||Hash Rate||Power Consumption||Buy|
|15 GH/s||1200 W||Shop Lowest Prices|
You can find the Antminer D3 for around $1,200 on eBay.
This is the most profitable Dash miner on the market. It’ll pay for itself very quickly.
Your Profitability with the Antminer D3
Considering the crazy high hash rate of the Antminer D3, it’s safe to say you’ll be able to mine plenty of Dash. However, after electricity costs, you might not turn a profit due to the crypto market crash.
However, your projected profits may vary based on where you live and your electricity cost.
You can calculate your projected Dash mining profitability with this Dash mining profitability calculator.
Powering the Antminer D3
The Antminer D3 requires a special power supply from Bitmain.
You can find the APW3++ 1200W power supply on eBay for $300. While the price may seem high, it’s well worth the investment.
This is the most efficient power supply on the market for this ASIC miner. It includes ten 6-pin PCIe connectors.
It has a maximum power output of 1200W @ 110V-120V, or 1600W @ 220V-240V. It doesn’t ship with a power cable, but it uses any standard PC power cable (C13).
Note: One APW3++ PSU only powers ONE Antminer D3
Power consumption plays a large role in your profit margin. That being said, it’s important to use an efficient power supply. This will ensure the highest profits from your ASIC miner.
Return on Investment
Dash mining is not profitable for most at the moment – even with the best Dash mining hardware – due to the market downturn. You’ll end up spending more on electricity than you’ll make mining Dash, based on Dash’s current market value.
However, prices are always changing and you may still be able to make a profit if your electricity is cheap. We’d recommend using the Dash profit calculator featured above to figure out your mining profitability.
Antminer D3 Compared to Other Hardware
|Antminer D3||15 GH/s||$8000||Shop|
|Baikal Mini ASIC||300 MH/s||$550||Shop|
|Baikal Giant A900 ASIC||900 MH/s||$2400||Shop|
Dash mining is a fun hobby, but if you’re purely interested in generating a profit, you’re better off buying and trading cryptocurrency.
We recommend Binance, as it is one of the largest and most trusted exchanges. Moreover, it’s easy to use and signing up is quick.
On the other hand, if you want to mine Dash anyway regardless of profitability, the Antminer D3 is definitely the best Dash ASIC miner on the market!
