1050 Ti Series Mining Overview
The GTX 1050 Ti is one of the cheapest Ethereum mining GPUs on the market today. How does it compare to other miners?
Let’s take a look at the specs:
- Base Clock: 1290 MHz
- Boost Clock: 1392 MHz
- Memory Clock: 3504 MHz
- Video Memory: 4096 MB GDDR5
- Power Consumption: 75 W
It’s important to note that hashrate depends on the miner version, as well as the type of miner you’re using. Hashrate can also be affected by the type of VRAM being used, and it seems that Samsung memories perform slightly better than other types.

GTX 1050 Ti Hashrate: Ethereum
The GTX 1050 Ti actually has a great power/hash ratio. While only consuming 40 watts at the wall (with stock settings), it has a hashrate of 11.9 MH/s. Although the hashrate isn’t too high, it doesn’t use too much power either.
What does that mean for you?
Well, you’ll see around $345 annually per card. That’s a profit ratio per day of 758%. Take a look:
It might not be a bad idea to invest in a few cheaper 1050 Ti’s, rather than buying one expensive Ethereum miner.
For example, if you bought one R9 295X2, (the most powerful ETH miner on the market) it would cost you around $600 and it would generate around $940 annually with a profit ratio per day of 165%. If you bought four 1050 Ti’s from eBay, you’d be paying $600 and you’d be generating around $1380 every year. As you can see, it may be advantageous to purchase multiple low end cards as opposed to one high end card.
Ethereum Mining Conclusion
Even though the hashrate of this GPU is pretty low compared to other hardware, the power consumption is as well. In fact, this proves quite advantageous.
An R9 295X2 has a hashrate of 46 MH/s and a power consumption of 500 W.
If you multiply the 1050 Ti’s hashrate by 4, it’s 47.6 MH/s and the power consumption comes out to be 160 W. This is obviously much better than that of the 295X2.
While mining with one GTX 1050 Ti won’t yield much profit, buying multiple for mining could prove quite useful.
Of course, if you’re more concerned with pure income and you want to generate the most profit, you’ll want to invest in more powerful hardawre.

GTX 1050 Ti Hashrate: Zcash
It’s the same story here: one GTX 1050 Ti probably isn’t the best idea if you’re looking to maximize your profits. However, buying more than one isn’t a bad idea at all.
With a hashrate of 145 Sol/s and a power consumption of 50 W, once again the GTX 1050 Ti proves itself with a great power/hash ratio. You’ll see an annual return of $369 per card. That’s a profit ratio of 702% per day!
Zcash Mining Conclusion
The GTX 1050 Ti has strength in numbers. Though it may not be the best miner if you only have one, it’s still great if you have a mining rig with multiple cards. In fact, it can be more efficient than one powerful card.
If you already have one card, it can’t hurt to make a few extra bucks. If you’re serious about mining, you’ll probably want to buy a few extra cards to yield higher profits.
