The RX 400 series is regarded as the best line of Ethereum mining GPUs – the RX 480 is one of the most profitable Ethereum mining GPUs on the market, especially in a well configured mining rig.
The 480’s little brother, the RX 470, has also proven itself to be a worthy mining GPU, especially for those on a budget. It features 8GB of memory that can be overclocked upt o 2100 MHz, much more than the 4GB model.

Let’s take a look at the RX 470’s Ethereum mining performance:

The Sapphire NITRO+ RX 470 has 8GB of dedicated memory, making it a great choice for mining Ethereum’s memory hard algorithm. In case you didn’t know, Ethereum will gradually require more and more deciated VRAM until it eventually swithces to POS.
For now, you need at least 3GB of RAM – the more you have, the better.
The Nitro+ RX 470 was tested with Claymore miner, and achieved 26.5 MH/s while drawing 160 W from the wall with stock settings.
